The NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Course is being taught right here in West Palm Beach by James Stedman of Jungle Tactical Solutions LLC. • James Stedman was awarded the US Navy Expert Pistol Marksman Medal and is an NRA Certified Instructor for NRA CCW Instructor, Certified Pistol, Certified Rifle, Certified Shotgun, Personal Protection In The Home (PPITH), Personal Protection Outside The Home (PPOTH), and Range Safety Officer (RSO). This comprehensive course will be held at the learning center for Jungle Tactical Solutions LLC. The NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. This is an instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA Certified Shotgun Instructor from beginning to end and takes place in a traditional classroom as well as a range environment. Course topics include gun safety rules, different types & proper operation of Shotguns, ammunition knowledge and selection, Shotgun selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, Shotgun inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Shotgun Instructor. Your fee of $189.00 covers the NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting Course - it does not include range fees which fluctuate but are typically under $20 or ammunition. You should bring at least 200 shotgun shells to the range. The deposit of $100 can be made with credit card, check or cash to reserve your spot. The remaining balance is due in full the morning prior to class commencement, in form of credit card, debit card, or cash. There are no refunds for the deposit as course materials are ordered in advance and seats require time to re-fill if you opt out for any reason. We will be doing the shooting qualifier at an outdoor range (Skeet) immediately following the classroom work and open notes written test. Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination and receive a Course Completion Certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Certified Shotgun Instructor.
